Description:

Learning to Adapt is a climate change adaptation professional development program for established environmental professionals delivering practical, hands on skills and knowledge at the post graduate level.

Learning to Adapt is a training program designed to upskill environment and sustainability professionals on climate change adaptation and is run over 3 separate full days of intensive collaborative learning.  Learning to Adapt is designed by experienced sustainability educators to engage participants in case studies presented by recognised expert speakers in climate change adaptation.  Participants apply their learning by working together to deliver group projects.

Modules covered over the 3 days are:

Applying the science of climate change impacts
Assessing and managing climate change risks
Applying and communicating climate change adaptation policy and standards.

As a result of the highly successful short course pilot held in Sydney in 2014  Learning to adapt is being offered in 2014/15 for the following dates:

Completion of this course will be recognised by the EIANZ’s CEnvP program and Green Building Council of Australia Green Star CPD program; as a Master Class in Climate Change Adaptation by Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia and with a Certificate issued by the Institute of Environmental Studies at UNSW for those participating within NSW, a Certificate issued by RMIT University for those participating within VIC and a Certificate issued by the Centre for Coastal Management at Griffith University for those participating within QLD.
