Co-founding Director
At Sustainably we are passionate about working with organisations to build skills and capacity to meet the increasing challenges of climate change.
I spent my early career with not-for-profits focused on young peoples’ transitions between the worlds of work and education, firing a passion for skills for sustainability projects that that inspire young people. With this experience came a deep understanding of how to facilitate vibrant partnerships across sectors, how to engage volunteers, broad skills to use contemporary communications channels strategically and a determination to manage projects to achieve real impact.
This value focus underpins my climate resilience work with Sustainably. I enjoy working with our partners and clients because they understand that social context is the key to acting sustainably.
For me, highlights of the last decade have been:
- Bringing the voice of apprentices and trainees on sustainability to policy makers
- Structuring an accredited exchange of climate change and disaster resilience skills across the Pacific
- Leading the national professional development agenda on climate change adaptation and,
- Building accredited climate change risk management capacity across an entire State.
My undergraduate studies were in politics and languages (ANU) and I have a Grad Dip in Employment Relations (UTS), as well as adult education and environmental management and sustainability qualifications.
In my spare time, my dog and I love reading, gardening, and catching up with friends outside!
